Sustainability Partnership

AerisJet partners with Azzera to support credible, independently vetted climate projects as part of its commitment to responsible aviation. Azzera specialises in sourcing, assessing, and monitoring high-quality carbon avoidance and carbon removal projects globally, ensuring they meet recognised international standards and deliver real, measurable impact.

Through this partnership, AerisJet supports a diversified portfolio of projects across renewable energy, nature conservation, and permanent carbon removal, while also advancing the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to reduce in-sector emissions. Together, these initiatives demonstrate a transparent and comprehensive approach to sustainability for clients and stakeholders.
Supported Projects

Capricorn Ridge Wind Project
Texas, USA | Renewable Energy | VCS
The Capricorn Ridge Wind Project supports the generation of clean electricity through large-scale wind energy in the United States. Operating as a merchant wind facility, the project sells power directly into the market rather than relying on long-term power purchase agreements, reinforcing the additionality of the carbon credits it generates.

Beyond emissions reductions, the project contributes to local economic development by supporting regional employment, strengthening the tax base in Sterling and Coke counties, and providing stable lease income to landowners all while producing electricity with no air or water pollution.
De Aar Wind Power Project
Northern Cape, South Africa | Renewable Energy | CORSIA-Eligible
Located near the town of De Aar, this wind power project generates renewable electricity through 96 turbines with a total installed capacity of 144 MW. Power is supplied directly to South Africa’s national grid, helping displace coal-fired generation in a country where approximately 80% of electricity is coal-based.

In 2020, the project exceeded expected output by 10%, demonstrating strong operational performance and contributing to more reliable energy access for local communities. The carbon credits generated are CORSIA-eligible, aligning with international aviation sustainability requirements.

Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve Project
Central Kalimantan, Indonesia | Forest Conservation & Biodiversity
The Rimba Raya Biodiversity Reserve protects over 47,000 hectares of tropical peat swamp forest in Borneo, preventing deforestation and the conversion of land into palm oil plantations. The project also creates a protective buffer for the adjacent Tanjung Puting National Park, safeguarding critical habitat for the endangered Bornean orangutan.

In partnership with Orangutan Foundation International, the project supports orangutan rehabilitation and release programmes, while also investing in local communities through employment, sustainable livelihoods, renewable energy access, clean water systems, and mobile healthcare services.
Energy Ocean Biochar Carbon Removal Project
Australia | Permanent Carbon Removal
The Energy Ocean project delivers permanent carbon removal in Australia through the production of biochar using advanced pyrolysis technology. By converting sustainably sourced biogenic residues into stable biochar, the project actively removes carbon from the atmosphere at industrial scale.

When applied to agricultural soils or used in construction materials, biochar stores carbon securely for hundreds of years, making it one of the most durable and low-risk carbon removal solutions available today. This approach provides a scalable, long-term pathway to address residual aviation emissions.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
In addition to supporting high-quality carbon projects, Aeris Jet's offsetting portfolio also includes Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as a critical lever for reducing lifecycle aviation emissions. SAF offers a direct, in-sector emissions reduction solution and plays a central role in the aviation industry’s long-term decarbonisation pathway.

Through its partnership with Azzera, Aeris Jet is supported in navigating SAF strategies alongside carbon avoidance and carbon removal solutions, ensuring a balanced and credible approach to sustainability.
